High Mountain Dressage, located on the outskirts of Prescott, Arizona near Outer Loop Road, is a private boutique barn known for its exceptional care and dedication to both retired and active sport horses. The property has been home to several award-winning international horses, reflecting its reputation for thoughtful, high-quality horse care. Today, it continues to serve as a sanctuary for retired sport horses while offering a boutique boarding experience for clients seeking personalized attention for their horses.
Our facility is designed with comfort, safety, and functionality in mind. The cinder block barn features 8 private horse “suites” with spacious stalls, European-style fronts, heated Nelson waterers, and non-slip rubber brick flooring throughout the barn and wash areas. We offer two covered wash/grooming racks with hot water, and our horses enjoy multiple arenas—including two dressage rings, one covered 20 x 40 m with premium rubber/sand footing—and a round pen for training and groundwork.
Horses have access to three large turnouts with shelter and automatic waterers, plus an additional outside pen and two shelter stalls, accommodating a total of 11 horses. An automated sprinkler system keeps footing consistently moist, ensuring safe and ideal conditions for riding year-round.
At High Mountain Dressage, we believe in comprehensive, individualized care. Our all-inclusive monthly boarding includes three feedings of high-quality Timothy and Orchard Grass hay, stall cleaning and fresh bedding, 4+ hours of turnout, fly masking, blanketing, feeding of pre-portioned grain baggies, trailer parking, and full access to our facilities and on-property trails. We also offer a variety of additional “à la carte” services for an extra fee, including bathing, grooming, tack cleaning, hand walking, lunging, and trail riding your horse.
Surrounded by beautiful scenery, our barn provides a peaceful, inspiring setting for both horses and riders. Whether you are focused on dressage, leisure riding, or simply seeking a boutique facility that treats your horse like family, High Mountain Dressage is committed to helping you and your horse thrive.
